COUNTRY PRESENTATION

Slovakia is a centrally located European country. For centuries it was an integral part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Czechoslovak Republic. Therefore, when it emerged on the map of Europe in 1993, for many it became a “new” country. Slovakia has rich heritage, mild climate, great food and Central European charm. Two major destinations are Bratislava and the Tatra Mountains.

Bratislava lies in the westernmost edge of Slovakia´s territory at the Danube River. A half-million capital is an excellent incentive and conference destination. We can offer Heritage, Danube, Wine and Automotive themed activities. The Tatra mountains are 4-5 hours drive in the central part of the country.

The major airport to reach Bratislava is Vienna Airport (VIE), about 40 minutes’ drive.

Stockholm: Austrian Airlines

Oslo: Austrian Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle

Copenhagen: Austrian Airlines

Helsinki: Finnair

Gothenburg: no direct connection

Bratislava has also its own airport (BTS), which does not have connections with Scandinavia. Charter flight connection possible.

The main airport for the Tatra Mountains is Poprad-Tatry Airport (TAT), it does not have connections with Scandinavia. Charter flight connection possible.
